SNL’s Digital Short The Curse from last week’s episode hosted by Jon Hamm is a funny reference to the weird shirtless, oiled-up saxophone player seen in The Lost Boys (played by real-life shirtless saxophone player and frequent Tina Turner music video collaborator, Timmy “Yes He Really Goes By Timmy” Cappello), but did you know that 2008’s direct-to-video sequel Lost Boys: The Tribe features yet another shirtless saxophone cameo by the now beergutted saxophonist? That’s a rhetorical question, because yes, you do now.

Ok, i’m italian, but i find these skits hilarious. I have friends that get offended by them, that think it’s racist, that hate me for linking these clips and rant about how the set design is not that bad or how host don’t smoke anymore on our shows.
Well, you know, exaggeration and hyperbole work very well in comedy, but still i think this is funny because it’s true. Yeah our shows may be a little flashier nowadays but, seriously, i wish our tv personalities could speak english at least half as well as Vinny does.
Also, kudos to Fred Armisen, his italian is actually flawless; ok the words he says don’t really much in the context, but they’re all correctly pronounced.
